Thanks guys Been a patchy summer to say the least!!! Joined Dungeness fishing club yesterday as well, currently has 960 ish members, that's amazing! In honesty I joined to get access to the beach road so I can get the car close to the beach! I joined at Seagull Tackle in Greatstone and Tony, I think...

Denge 12-13 Sept

Fished Denge 11 am - Midnight, HT approx 5pm. Wind NNE, and calmish water. Used lug, rag, squid and mackeral. Caught one tiny eel around high tide and that was it for daylight. Whiting came about 9pm and had a few. Eva had a PB one about 1 1/2 pound. Fished a 7 - 10 this morning, no bites. Good night ...

Normans Bay Question, Advice Needed!

Hi All

Never fished Normans Bay and was thinking about an over night trip there Saturday.
Is it worth a go or can anyone suggest a good venue around that area??

Cheers

Kingsdown and Grain Blanks!!!

Planned staying on Denge sat night, however the wind when we got there made camping impossible. On a good note, the infamous road was slightly better than last time I was there!! Decided to head for Kingsdown. Only myself and my brother in law were fishing out of seven, the rest were just along for ...

I'm in Kent, about 40-50 miles from Dungeness. Dungie fished well in the winter, but to be honest I haven't heard of much either on here or elsewhere in Kent this summer. The boats seem to be doing great and I'm hoping to get into a syndicate for a monthly charter boat. I have to confess I am less o...

Hi I mainly fish SE but have fished south and thames, and I don't know if everyone is on holiday but there is very little being posted. Mackeral have hardly shown at my favourite venues, but then there hasn't been any settled weather. The bass seem few and far between as well. I had a poor summer la...

POW Pier BLANK!!!! 15/08

Planned on Samphire on Saturday but changed our minds due to the wind. Fished POW about 1.30 - 7 and not even a bite!!! I can't remember fishing with a 3 hook flapper, at all distances I can manage, without even a bite. Not good. I didn't see one fish come out in the time I was there either. Admiral...

We'd planned to fish the bill for bream then move to west beach in the evening, but Tim's mum in the tackle shop suggested we got to west beach early as it would be packed! We got there lunch time and it's the longest wait for the tide I've ever done! I don't know how long the hounds are around? It'...

Have a feeling you were next along the beach to us!!!! We were closer to the coast guard tower, that's as far as I could manage the camping stuff!!! You did better than me by miles, and I wondered how the cluster of shelters near the caravan park did? Still I wasn't disappointed with my night out. I...

Two New Species

Hi All Having added bream to my catch list a week ago, Eva and myself decided to give the south coast a go for smooth hound. Followed some posts from Timoz on the south forum and ended up at West Beach, Selsey. Turns out his Mum works in the tackle shop there where I bought some bait, so she helped ...

Hi Usually fishes ok. The big problem is the snags, bottom fishing is hard work and you'll probably lose a lot of tackle! Fishing straight down the wall works just as well as casting. Use lightish snoods and wire hooks if you can, drop the weight slowly, when you feel it hit the bottom reel up a cou...
