There,s only dabs and small flounder at the moment, I,d use size 1 or 2 long shanked aberdeens and rag and macky as bait. Make sure you have a good disgorger as they are beggars for deep hooking themselves :-O . The current winds might bring in the whiting if we,re lucky. :D

The Mitchel Match is a sweet reel but doesn,t like having the wind on its face, thats when you need the old Abu 500 series closed face reels. I also still have and use a pair of Cardinal 4X reels, the Tan and Brown ones, still good for big tench and 14lb carp even now when used with a Hardy Fred Tay...

New Years eve to New Years day 2010 - 2011. 5 bar gate.

Well couldn,t face crowds of p*****d idiots or c**p TV so decided to clear all the old bait out of the freezer and see if any fish wanted to play. Got there for 10pm and the tide was already on the way out nicely. I was the only angler on the beach. I used a 3 hook clipped rig with size 1 hooks and ...

Hey Mick , I,ve told you that you can come and stay in the spare room anytime. Means you can break your journey and wont knacker yourself in.
I,ll do the driving from here to the chosen west coast venue.

The Infinity Duo is an IGFA rated line so it,s rated very accurately for dia and bs. Its no better in dia to bs than the ordinary Sensor in clear or brown if you compare it to the statistics that tacklebox.co.uk have on them. Infini Duo 16lb .330mm Sensor brown 16.25lb .32mm Sensor clear 16.75lb .32mm

Gynewguy, the RT is a good Abu clone, and works well, but i doubt you can get spares for it. Buttonz, what rods are you planning to use the multi,s on as if they,ve only got 5 or 6 rings you will have problems with the line rubbing on the rod blank and either Knackering the line or the blank. What s...

Good strong stable legs , but needs a way of locking the front legs to the rear leg as the chain is naff all use. Rapidly gets a bad dose of head shake from the adjustable head cup system. Makes you think you,re getting 3 times as many bites as you really are. The Shakespeare salt seems a much bette...

Bad luck Keith, you,ll have to give up the daytrips and start doing the nights, John and I have never blanked there at night even with easterlies.
Good luck on your trip to Towyn Dave, its full of packs of dogs at the moment as I know a few who,ve been there recently.
