MINEHEAD INFO

hi guys im heading down to minehead for a week over xmas to the sister in laws and have managed to convince the mrs to let me bring my rods. i was wondering if anything was being caught on minehead beach and looking for tips (where to try bait etc).
any info would be appreciated.

ive never had a thorny from here but the blonde rays were taken at low tide using live sandeel which were dug up at the low water line. then again i went out about a week before bonfire night and didnt catch a thing. there were 12 people on the beach altogether fishing all areas but noone managed a ...

i usually try to fish slightly to the right of where the river joins the sea but the rays were caught about 200 yds to the left
never tried it as its a bit of a trek but a few people have recommended going right down by the rocks on the left hand side, good for rays apparently.

ive got an ocean kayak malibu 2 fitted with 2 rod holders on the back which we use as a family kayak on the beach etc but when i want to go fishing solo i just use the centre seat well,
