Well done on the bass Mick. The least you deserve for your efforts.
I'm still chasing the mullet.....saw a cracking fish of 6lb+ this evening, feeding hard in the shallows. Shame I didn't have my rod. I will go back for it Friday evening ;)

Excellent fishing Dave. Wish I had joined you! I fished Portland with bassfly, from 9am til 5.30pm. Simon caught a nice schoolie on the gurgler while I caught a massive, hard fighting blank. Scenery was nice though.

I know what you mean Mick. I was in a boat with Simon yesterday and you could see the bass running side by side with the fly before trying to 'gill-plate' it or peeling off upon seeing the boat. I guess that they have to use such tactics considering their lack of teeth!

Nice going Dave. Sounds like the perfect morning. Some nice tides coming up. After I saw you last on the Tuesday, I caught two ghosts the following day and another the day after, in the pitch dark. I was almost standing on the blighters as they came in to feed in water only a few inches deep. Strang...

2nd half of August would be a good time of year for a meet at Pagham. See what the response is and we can firm up a date. Anyone who has not fly fished before don't worry. Why not come along and give it a go. There will be plenty people on hand to show you the ropes. One word of warning though!! Onc...

Bought the same book from the works but with an extra 20% off last month, ha ha.
Great book though, given me a few ideas about mullet flies to try.
Absolute steal at that price!
