9.5 metre tide. That's a really good tide for the Cod fishing on the Fylde coast if you can persuade Andy to sail round there. Wish I could put my name down, but there are other demands on my time. Hope the weather is kind to you because the tide and time of year have the makings of a really good tr...

Re: Mariner/Mercury 40HP Magnum

Does anyone know how to get to the impellor, bought the engine second hand without manual. Any help would be appreciated. Is the engine different in construction to other outboards? All that I've had follow a very simple system. Unbolt the bolts that hold the lower gearbox unit to the leg of the mo...

Lead smelting East Lanc's.

Do any of our other East Lancs members fancy a day smelting lead weights or am I the only one who produces his own. I'm thinking of producing another batch of my preferred nose grip leads for next seasons Ray and Tope fishing. If anyone fancies a session making leads drop me a line and we'll combine...

I suspect you may have had some input into this new sector. Well done Chris. There is, without doubt, safety in numbers where small angling boats are involved. If everyone that wants to get involved in this particular section replies to this posting by Chris giving a little detail of boat and area f...

Walney info sought.

Aimed mainly at the Cumbrian lads. I own a small trailered angling boat and wish to know if the west facing beach is accessible at the end of Sandy Gap Lane by vehicle. Looking to launch a light 16 foot Orkney using my 4x4 without the hassle of launching into the channel next to the Barrow bridge an...

I know Crossy, he knows more about small boat angling than anyone I have ever met. A mine of information and as friendly as you could wish too! If he don't know, nobody does. :)
Welcome to the forum bud.

New to forum. Lancashire based.

Hi, just joined the forum. I am and have been, a fishing boat owner for over 25 years. I note the mails from the North West all appear to be shore based angling. Any other boat owners here?
