I use the breakaway swivel T's (do the same job as 3 way swivels ) on my bomber rigs and with a little silicon tubing they reduce tangles and can be cast with no problems. 3 way swivels require more knots and therefore more weak links so I wouldn't recommend anyone try to power cast with them.

Hello Matey, The most pressing problem would definitely be sorted, in that your set up would be safe. If as you say you are snapping your line mid cast then also check your line (tie a granny knot in it and pull) if it breaks its aged and needs replacing. Also check the line lay on the reel and ensu...

Cod do show at 75yds from these bays, but only rarely. :(
100+ yds is usually needed to have a more consistant chance. It sounds a lot more but a little practice will soon close the gap, the reason the extra distance is an advantage along this stretch is that the tide rip is much faster at distance.

I have 2 of these, they are very easy to cast as they have a soft action without being floppy. Also they are very light in weight and withthe correct technique, do cast a long way. Bite indication is positive even at range with light bites. Rated to cast 5oz, this rod copes very well with 5oz and ba...

I have to agree with Clarissa on this one. UK Hooks provide an excellent service and very good prices to boot. :D I do use breakaway for all my bulk buys on rig bits and Norman Bickers has never let me down either. :D Also I discarded Kamasan B940's years ago and switched to Sakuma when they first c...

Be careful Blackhawk, that you dont get a rod that you cant bend because if you cant compress it you wont be able to cast it comfortably.
Having said that the supercast is a good rod, also the AFAW six and bait is well worth a look. :D

I also have 2 CccLd's and agree they are suited to pendulum casting, I also have 2 Zziplex M4 Evo's and they are even better suited to my style of pendulum. The M4 is better with 5 oz leads and the Ld's with 6oz. As to which if any would suit you, it depends entirely on your casting technique. The A...
