Cod are starting to show now in Dungeness. To be in with a chance of catching them you need to make sure that you fish when the conditions are right. Best time to fish is after a South Westerly blow. Wait until we get a couple of strong SW winds then get down there when the wind starts veering North...

I will only use Sakuma lines. Casting is fantastic. Their lines are very strong with a good diameter for longer casting. Example; 18ib line has got same diameter as 15ib line. I have never yet had a snap off whilst casting. The other good thing I find about Sakuma line is if you get caught up in a s...

From what I have experienced fishing for rays they do not come in if the weather is rough. Ideal situation being; no mo...

Hi mate, I always fishing directly behind the 10th green. As for avoiding the Security toll road I can't help as I always drive there. In my opinion the 2 security guards are alright and they are only doing their job. Both are keen anglers! Obviously, there are numurous species showing down there at...

I fish Sandwich Bay a lot because it is peaceful and I speak to the Security Guard whenever I go. He has never informed me of any areas on the beach where you can't fish. If you are not allowed to fish by the houses then surely it should be sign posted informing anglers of this restriction. I will a...
