Why not give DAIWA a call and tell them about it, they have a reputation (i believe) for sending out small items free of charge. I had a screw in cap for the handle of a F/S reel sent to me free of charge and on another well known forum i have just read about a guy contacting them for a 7ht end cap ...

the post was titled r.i.p the scotland section and it is just what i believe as i know that there are more popular forums where all the scots guys are which is a shame but this scotland section has always been the same.
Other than that the site is fine and i have learned a lot from the guys on here.

Who deleted my last post?

I would like to know who deleted and why my last post was deleted from this forum.

What i posted was in my opinion true there are no scotsmen using this forum at all and when you do post no-one replies anyway.
Thisis why i dont bother with this site much any more.

Not posted for a while as nothing to post about but...... Had a wee sesh fishing the beach at Scremerston just south of Berwick on Tweed. Light wind from the S/E and a good wee surf running. Dug some lug and hit the shore with another angler using Lug/macky/bluey/squid and sandeels as baits. Started...

Macky bash

Went for a quick spur of the moment bash at eyemouth yesterday and had 16 in about an hour and a half.....still maybe a wee bit early for the bigger shoals but promising start.
Gonna scoff some tomorrow and keep the rest as bait (- the 6 i gave to dad and a friend).

thats the wrong reel mate.....its the 525 you should be looking at.

Also (just to add 1 or 2) why not look at the Daiwa 7ht (clean ground)

The Daiwa SL20SH (clean/mixed) ground.

loads on the market to look at but as afore mentioned the 525 mag seems to be a very popular choice.

As far as i am aware you can catch dogfish/spurdog/mackeral/cod/wrasse/rockling/thornback rays/gurnard/flatties/whiting/pollack/coalie short spined sea scorpion and various others.

Hope this keeps you and your mates busy.

Old ABU rods any help with info about these

I have came into possession of 2 old (i think) ABU rods and was wondering if anyone knows anything about them and if they are of any slight value. One of them is an ABU "All Rounder" and is about 7' approx and has no other info on the rod. The second is an ABU 71 and has some info....casting 2g-15g ...

If you know someone who sells his catch (unless he is your best mate or a family member) why dont you let those that can do something (authorities) know?
