hooking whiting

I know that whiting tend to take the hook quite deep.
What is the best way to stop this from happening, I have tried using larger hooks.
I hate it when they end up dead,because I only take fish home if it is a really big one.
Otherwise I just enjoy being at the beach relaxing

I went for a couple of hours tonight (thursday)
Quite a few whiting about, bloke next to me caught a codling about 3lb.
That was at Dunwich

Keep geeting rigs tangled

what is the best way to make rigs? I have followed the instructions on many rig making sites. But when I reel in the, snood is often wrapped round the shockleader. I use swivels and have tried different hook lenghts. Should I use a swivel at the top and bottom of the rig? Any help would be much appr...

There is a tackle shop in Saxmundham,you pass it on the way to Aldeburgh,have had rag that was good.
I think the tackle shop in Ald is now closed,someone else might know the answear to that
