persistance!!! it willl pay off down there. also try and tap some knowledge from the oj regulars as its a big venue to fish with staggering differences from corner to corner

the island girl is a very good, stable cat thats runs out of holehaen creek. the skipper john is humourous and helpfull. he will find fish if they are out there!!!

gordon ramsey was on tv recently during one of his programmes saying that local fisherman have turned to harvesting them. i think some of the eel men have taken up the mantle instead of flogging a dead horse.

at the moment we can only 'assume' they are illegal. keep up the good work steve.

anchored for three hours ish for the cod but it was a 6.1m tide so we couldn't hold bottom very well.
then we drifted for bass..........nice to try something very very different from our normal uptiding!

slow day...........i only managed a 3lb bass, niglet blanked completely (apart from mackeral)

in total on the boat about 6 cod to 15lb and 8 bass to 10.5lb.


fantastic weather, brilliant skipper so will def be going back.
