another thing to add to the melting pot...... colin from the skerry belle did say that over fishing in the north sea has had a more damaging effect on our fish stocks this year. the trouble is with it all so many people have different views on what has happened this season you dont know what to thin...

just as i suspected .......... some nice well informed points being made! you cant beat a good debate lol. alledgedly it takes days if not weeks for the melt water and saline to mix. staying in layers to start with which also pushes the fish into deeper waters. if my memory serves me well last year ...

whilst i was out on skerry belle at the weekend (sat 4th dec 2010) i noticed all the whiting coming up full off spratts........normally there is a noticable influx off these little pests and we hear about it from other anglers. no word so far! is that because people are not getting out much? saw sea...

have a look in thepictures of venues sticky it has all the canvey marks and names on it. should help you out a fair bit. as for thorney bay, yes you can drive right through and park at the end, but watch out late at night as they sometimes shut the gates i think.

its probably because when you look from your view point you can only see a few hundred yards of your own beach or venue, yet when you look across you can see for a mile or even more.....

i only know one firestarter and he is a southerner...aka the shadow!!!
