also try not to brush it on but use one of them wool rollers to do it as you will get a smoother finish

what you need to do is also put some clear pipe before the fuel bulb to see if its getting air before that,so start from the fuel tank to the bulb first,i bet its the fuel bulb from experience

how old is the bulb???? is it time to update it as jacko says it only takes a little pin hole that you cant see to make her cough, the best way to find what is wrong is get some clear pipe of the same size and move it till you find no bubbles at all I.E between fuel tank and bulb,if no bubbles then ...
