Hey, welcome to the forum. I have fished South Fambridge, with mixed results. Depends if you walk west or east when you get to the sea wall. I also fish Southend beaches every week (when I'm not ill) So you could always tag along if you like? I was gunna bin fishing, but have taken advice to struggl...

Why not have a couple of nights B & B and combine business with pleasure. Not difficult to find reasonable B & B's virtually on the beach down that way but avoid August cos a lot of them stick their prices up. Contrary to popular belief and rumor, I am not a gigalo! Although .....? Business is toug...

I have just been reading an article on the Telegraphs website dated 2008. It says in a nut shell that: There will be no sea fishing license in the marine bill as so many sea anglers would want better and bigger fish, if they were charged for the privialge. (cant spell tonight sorry). Is this just wh...

Welcome to the site. If you dont catch, join the club, then pop of to Rick Stein's place on the harbour. Great fish and chips, even if it is a bit expensive...Seriously though this is a really busy port, dont take your eyes off your gear. May get pulled in! I got some pictures of padstow somewhere, ...

The last point I would like to make in all this is as follows: There are a minority of so called anglers, that leave all sorts of rubbish and other stuff lying around on "our" beaches. This lets us ALL down. There are a few anti fishing campaigners, that use this as a favourite "they have to be stop...

Would love to attend this and finally meet you guys. (sounds like I'm going dogging!) Unforntuatly, my kids are in a pantomime that day, and because the missis is the only one that drives, she cant fit all the kids in the car at once. So will catch up with you all at the next meet. Good Luck all! Ti...

I believe the wolf fish exist in the deeper northern seas. They are now being fished because of the depletion of the traditional commercial species. I think there is no doubt about the impact on cod and other fish; we can see that from our lack of catches alone, never mind the science surveys. As t...

Right thats it!!

Im fed up with wasting my money on bait. To teach those lazy lug a lesson, I am going straight to the tackle shop to buy a score of lug. Then I am going to walk out half a mile to sea (tide out obviously) and bury them alive!

HA HA score 1 - 0 me!

Good riddence!

I think having a Established national monitoring system for rod-caught fish to sample fish stocks, is a great idea. This is where sea-fishing.org could help. We could have a page where members post catches. With over 10000 members we have a campaign where we all try to fish on the same day, we could...
