Congrats on your first pouting and may it be the first of many more fish. The advice given by the lads was great , may i also suggest you read ea Angler. I've read it for forever and it still good and current articles . :)

Hi all , I was due to fish Sandwich bay but as my local shop wanted 65p for small peeler crabs i opted to try Bartons with my daughter . She was fishing a 2 x boom rig with lug and rag and i tried just about everything from feathers , three hook flappers, sliding a float down the rig with a tiny pie...

Sorry i haven't replied to you is because i don't visit the site regularly but i would help and take my kids to an event you organised , but i recommend a kids fishing day rather than a match as even the younger kids can have a go but when they get bored can go rockpooling .

i have to say i agree with your comments but Clarrisa you will be the first angler i have seen taking ice to the beach . What has to be considered is some piers do not allow gutting of fish and just to clarify i do only take the fish i want and put back the majority of my catch .
