Just to elaborate the ray are around the Goodwin Sands at the moment so that is probably what the trawlers are targeting but that is miles out to sea . I can't comment on the beach fishing as it has been a long time since i fished that area . I do remember seeing the same thing but with dabs when i ...

Hi Steve . I'm tempted to agree but reading Sea Angler for more years than i'm willing to admit to they are a regular catch in the Bristol Channel which i've always assumed is a muddy estuary .

Hi Tim . Do you think that is because they are just not there or that nobody is fishing for them . I would be interested in hearing from the boat lads who fish the estuary to see if they are caught further out .

Rays from Grain .

Hi everyone . I was thinking of trying for rays off grain next month but not sure if they are caught there with any regularity . I know Sheppy is a hotspot but can get crowded at times , especially Leysdown , so i thought of Grain as it is just the other side of the estuary . Any info would be more ...

Sorry for the late reply but thank you all for the information . The reason for my post was a tackle shop i went to wanted 65p for 20p size crabs which i thought was a bit strong. I don't mind paying that for good size crabs that's why i thought about looking on-line. Once again thanx :D :D
