Crimping pliers

Hi folks, can anyone recommend decent crimping pliers? I bought what I consider to be the cheap red ones and they have lived up to being what I thought, cheap and not very good. I am not even using a great deal of pressure so as not to crimp the leader but they are bending in my hands, thus not crim...

Hi guys Thanks for the replies. Crazy-dude, I take on board what you have said about the jacket being over the back of the chair, I had never thought of that but to be honest the places that I fish have barriers but as I said in my original post, I am looking for alternative places to go so this mig...

License

I would love to see how they could eve try to do this. Who would have to pay? Would a child have to pay if they were fishing with their parent or guardian and I would like to know what they would do to me seeing that I am wheelchair dependent and can only access certain places. Would they expect me ...

Rigs

Hi folks Just another question regarding making rigs. I have been making rigs with 60lb line for the mainline and for the snoods I have been using a very light line of which I don't know how strong it is. It is off of my sons first reel, a small Shakespeare fixed spool. The line is very light and I ...

Shockleader knot

Hi folks I just thought I would let other people know how I got in with my query regarding which knot to attach the shockleader with. I asked the question about which knot to use and I got a couple of replies. Eventually I went with the 'albright' knot. Today I was fishing and had cast out but as I ...

Rig making

Thanks Dunc for the advice. I think I should add this book to my Christmas list and I will have a good read through it.

Cheers

Any other wheelchair users?

Hi Baird Thanks for the response. I think the guy you are talking about has this website: http://disabledangler.wordpress.com/ I have looked at it and replied to a post that was on it regarding sea fishing but nothing came back from the original post. I just thought that there must be other people o...

Any other wheelchair users?

Hi folks I am curious to find out if there are any other wheelchair users that go sea angling. The reason I ask is that we might be able to help each other or possibly someone else. I have been a full time wheelchair user since a spinal cord injury 8 years ago but I enjoy sea fishing with my son who...

Hi folks I usually use rag worm but I decided last week to try Mackerel, and it was reasonably successful, we caught a couple of small Pollack and a good sized Cod, about two and a half pound. My son and I were fishing right in at the side using rotten bottom rigs as snags are very common here. Ther...

Hi epoch I am from Inverclyde, but just a relative newbie. I used to fish the Clyde years ago but gave it up but now that my son is showing an interest I got back into it. The unfortunate thing is that I am wheelchair dependent and need to fish from either a pier or quayside which I have been doing....
