Very interesting rabbi, especially as they seem to be available for quite a good price. It's about time we saw a fresh rod maker on the scene, what does it cast like?

Not sure that it matters which rig one uses although I also use a wishbone. More important are the conditions which I summarize as around HW with a flat sea, clear water, sunny and calm. These were exactly the conditions when a while back a bloke I know had three decent ones off Hayling on 28th Febr...

Don't know anyone who does February until end of the month when the plaice return. Even then you need a couple of calm sunny days to have a hope of finding them.

Agree with you about the flounder rab but love fresh dabs - just grilled quickly with squirt of soy sauce on top.

Know what you mean but the answer is not to have the snoods too long and make them out of fairly stiff line - like 30 lb mono. The fish don't care as long as they can see a bit of bling and smell worm when they get close up, they will go for it irrespective of how long the snoods are. I think a lot ...

Important bit is plenty of bling mate because it seems that they have good eyesight and get curious about anything they see which is coloured and mobile. I make up wishbone rigs with size 2 long shanked hooks and with several coloured beads and shiny sequins on the snoods. The colours are important ...

Haven't started yet but guess I should as it's only 3 weeks to the start of plaice returning down here. Promised to make make myself two or three really posh plaice rigs this year but we will need a few days of calm sunny weather to get them in shore of which there is no sign at present LOL,

With a cold snap about to arrive, I will now clean up my kit and put it away until end of Feb. To be honest guys, once the water temperature drops below 10 degrees which I suspect it will in the next few days, there is not much point in trying. The reason being that fish are cold blooded and become ...

I tried those rubber jobs a couple of years back but they soon split or mine did and they are a bit bulky and the line can get trapped around them if you are not careful. Which is why I have used these for the past two years: http://enterprisetackle.co.uk/et24-carp-rod-tip-nightlite-adaptor May seem...

But I use a tiny clip which I discovered a couple of years back from an outfit called Enterprise Tackle and never had a tangle. They are on the 'net but can't find their address at the momnent so you will have to google ...

Ah but what was the state of the tide when he was doing it? At my two favourite venues, I can pretty well predict when I am most likely to get bites from what the tide is doing.
