Why are you so abrasive ? I was asking a question. Maybe you don't know the answer which is fine but someone else might.

If whipping is just for tackle tarts why is there whipping on the rings at all? Is it purely decorative? If it is you might as well buy a cheap blank and tape the rings on with sticky tape like some field casters do.

No- Nobody is out there- I honestly think shore fishing is on the decline- I offered to sell a load of top notch rods on one of the bigger sites for bargain basement prices - i mean zziplexes, conoflex and century rods for less than you'd pay for a shakey rod - not a single taker- summed it up for m...

Wouldn't bother till cod season.

I'd try Sizewell for bass/soles - ragworm/peelers as bait

Mike Ladle Spinning rods from Veals offer good value- teamed mine up with a small shimano reel- worth looking out for special offers - nice and light which as Eccles mentions is definitely a consideration as you'll be doing a lot of casting..

Grockles are yer most likely catch there in the first week of August, I'd be looking for somewhere quieter nearby like Crackington or Hartland. Crackington's just as bad Eccles- although might not be as bad in the evening- plus you've got the hoardes of surfers - saying that if crackington is bad t...

You can fish from Bude breakwater and from summerleaze beach- there's a tackle shop in Bude on the waterfront which sells bait etc and offers advice- seemed ok when i went in and had fresh peelers and plety of frozen bait but worm needed to be ordered in advance. You'll need to check the tide times-...

I dont need to read up the advertising guff thanks- they all say the same- that their rods will cast lead and bait to the horizon. As it is I've looked at it and it's a fair reflection of the rod- Gary Pye's words- "nice soft tip and butt". I put the link up for the benefit of nthendpompey who aske...

PS- All rods can be big casters in the right hands. Not quite true - the cheap "composite" rods will never cast as well as a full carbon job as I discovered several years ago. Of course it is quite important to develop/learn a decent casting style which is what lmh is implying. One of my more recen...

A matter of opinion I suppose. You might like to look the rod up http://www.centurysea.co.uk/sea-rods/tip-tornado-super-match/ Sounds like a big caster to me. A case of what suits you best. Yes it is and my opinion is based on the fact that I own a TTSM and have used it regularly for years - step u...

TTSM's are not stiff rods- They're an easy rod to cast - I've used TTSM and Supercast rods and both are good rods that will last you years but in terms of VFM I'd go for the 2nd hand TTSM's assuming theyre in good condition- not least because at that price you'd be abel to shift them on and get your...
