Hi Roy, iv yet to try it as waiting for my Multiplier rod to be delivered. I will set the mags between 4 and 5 and give it a go. I mainly got it for rough ground and am loading it with 30lb line so I'm not expecting it to cast far.

can a penn affinity 8000 be used with a Daiwa supercast?

I have a penn 525 mag 2 that I plan to use with my 13ft Daiwa supercast rough ground multiplier rod. I am curious if I can also use a penn affinity 8000 loaded with braid?

Iv heard that it is possible if you use braid? Is this true? And if not why does it not work?

Thanks

Hello again :)

I have been on ebay and amazon but they seem to be a bit on the small size as my rods are almost 6 ft plus iv got 3 of them and a rod rest.... I was just curious what others use as iv been juggling my rods, bag, rests, and all sorts for years! :)

rod bags???

Hi guys, iv been looking for a rod bag and can't seem to find what I need. I have 2 16 ft rods and 1 13 ft rod and a large rod rest. The longest rod is almost 6ft when taken apart.

Are there any larger rod bags on the market? And what ones are good?

thanks :)

I have no hesitation in recommending a Daiwa Supercast 13 ft for what you have in mind. Not too expensive but tough as old boots and you can have a FS or Multi version. One of my mates has one and you can belt it as hard as you like without fear of failure. Hi, thanks for the recommendation I will ...

Small fine wire hooks about size 1 or 1/0s long shanked to facilitate easy hook removal. Let the bite develop as flatties normally suck at the bait before taking it properly, don't strike just a steady wind in. Wishbone rig works well also a few beads 2" above the hook to act as an attracter. Cheer...
