Hi there Steve, Thanks for the reply, much appreciated mate :) I must admit to having had reservations about the "strong scent trail" they are advertised as giving off /:) , as you have just confirmed. I don't mind paying for peeler providing it's decent and fresh. I'm sure I have link for a source ...

Berkley Gulp??
Hi there, I wondered if anyone has used any of the Berkley Gulp artificial baits at all or has any experience of them in use? Unfotunately, most of the peeler crab I see are bought ones & it soon mounts up if buying a load of bait for a weekends fishing, harbour rag and/or lugworm are much easier fo...

Hi there, Well yet another uneventful night at Torness targeting bass last night :-< My fishing buddy Weegi & myself left mine after filling our bellies early evening with the intentions of fishing the tide in until slack water after 2am. Weegi was using a new 10ft bass rod & new f/s reel he bought ...

Sounds like you had a good day beachnut , I'm literally 5mins away from Dunbar, it can throw some good fish on the right day like a 1.4lb flattie....nice one mate Belhaven beach was always a good spot for flatties with the estuaries at each end, never had one from there but I'm sure there must be ba...

Hi pter , Much obliged for that link buddy, it is a wee bit more hassle to get to but looks well worth it as you say. Going by the pics of the place on their website it seem to be massive!. From where I am in East Lothian, Glasgow is roughly 1.5hrs?, maybe a wee bit more. We are planning a trip thro...

Decent Tackle Shops in Edinburgh & Lothians Area?
Hi there, I've re-found this wonderful hobby after at least 15yrs through a friend who has just gotten into sea fishing coming from a fly fishing background and wondered what/where there are any good tackle shops?. Is Mike's Tackle in Portobello still open yes?, if I remember he had a large selectio...

Hi there, I can't quite speak from experience regarding shore stuff on the Fife side but I've fished the Forth from a boat plenty. There is a good mark directly out about 1/2 a mile from Granton, it's supposed to be a hole/ledge?....the best way to find it from your side might be to line yourself up...
