Ah I see, so at 6-9" it's not going to need clipped really is it?, do you use rig-tubing or anything to ensure the snood stands out at all? Can I ask what distance you'd put between the 3-way swivel and the pennel mate if you don't mind me asking or is it the same as regular pulley rigs with shorter...

Personally I think adding anything to a basic pulley rig defeats the object of them. My sentiments exactly baitdigger !, One of my favourite rigs for around my area as most of the marks are snaggy, at this time of year especially until the first few storms clear the summer weed & kelp anyway. As yo...

Anyone Have A Diagram for a Double Pulley rig please?

Hi there, I find myself using a pulley rig a fair bit in both pennel and various sized single hooked versions and would like to try tying my own Double Pulley but the only diagram I have is crap See here: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4154/5007846313_3a387e774a.jpg From the above pic it seems like ...

Cheers Steve, I've been having a trawl myself but keep turning up stuff about bass conservation, equally as important of course but not specifically what I'm trying to find out. There are definitely some really good marks that are still open to anglers at St.Abbs, some good deep water a lob from sho...

St.Abbs To Eyemouth Marine Conservation Area?

Hi there, This is the first I've heard about this myself but wondered if any other forum users maybe know anything about it regarding being allowed to fish? Apparently for 1 mile straight out from St.Abbs harbour down to Eyemouth is a marine conservation area, not that I'm complaining!. Quite the op...

Hi Steve, No I'm almost positive your right mate, I've never used hermit crab myself but I'm guessing as with most crabs that it stinks? you just have to smell your hands or your towel if using softback or peelers to know it's going to have a good scent so I wouldn't blame your blank on the crab mat...

So possibly acceptable on still summer nights, which are getting more infrequent by the week Think I'd find taking it off & clipping back on after every cast a bit nippy tbh?, I can see it now, just got the grip lead anchored and the rod set ready after casting on the tripod then I'd look up to see ...

Re: Bait pumps in mud

Soft estuary mud is pretty hard to dig lug from - too much suction and worms deeper than in the gritty stuff. Just wondered whether anyone has tried bait pumping in this gooey stuff. I'm assuming that mud is too sticky for a pump, but perhaps it's possible. Anyone tried it? Also has anyone made the...

Rod Bell Tip Light??

Hi there, First sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum?, the closest I thought was Terminal Tackle but a rod tip light/bell isn't at the end of your line? Anyway, I'm currently using chemical nitelites at night so I can watch my rod tip but I'm keen to try the clip-on bell/light type so I don't ...
