If you fancy a rocks adventure 4 a fish Portland is a good bet. Can point you in the right direction. Durdle door usually ok this time of year. Weymouth bay can produce bass if the right wind. This end of chesil beach throwing up a few cod. Still quite a few bass about to spinning and plugs.

Found june a bit early for the bass but weather good. There are so many places to fish I dont suppose the season matters. Mullet were about and good fun on coarse tackle but havent got one on the fly yet.

River could be described as tidal up to 8 metres on springs. Good numbers of mullet flounder bass and codling. Plenty more fishing close by. Appledore still a fine place with a new chip shop. When are you planning to visit the area?

If camper van an option there is a site in appledore right on the river which is caravan club right in the middle of all the fishing you could want

Have heard of a few codling and plenty of locals out so probably worth a try they usually show on the portland end of the beach first. hermit crab is favoured as is blow lug late afternoon seems to be the time good luck

Dont seem to be able to get it to work. Dennings usualy has a good supply of fresh and frozen bait best to order pealers and you take pot luck with live hermit as they dont keep

Paul and Carroll at Denning tackle Wyke Regis you will pass them on the way to Portland are a good bet

The fleet is always a good bet 4 school bass and does throw up the odd 5lb fish to plugs plastics and spinners. Tides will be good for chesil dont be afraid to use plugs close in if you can find the space. BIG mackeral baits 15 yards out often produces. Worth trying hermit crab for an early codling....

abbotsbury quiet at mo a few hounds portland end of beach the odd bass and pollock comimg to spinning at last light plenty of mackeral. if you fish from carpark on pleasure pier as far as you can cast it throws up good hounds now and then beware spider crab

chesil not good now warbarrow [google tyneham] fishing well 4 rays and good float and spin there is a gate that is locked between 10pm and 9 am so plan to stay the night well worth the trip p.m me for more info if you come this way

very busy beach can only fish at night due to visitors. produces bass if you fish into the door. beaches both sides good for spinning early and late.if you can warbarrow bay [tynham] is the place to try

I have used 80 lb penn dynabraid as shock leader for years with no probs small knot good knot strength doesnt drag in tide
