I agree with ED I have a Quicksilver (17ft 10in)with a 15 hp aux and it will shift it but not very fast if you are going 3 miles offshore the weather can get up in literally minutes. I would go for at least a 50 for main engine and keep the 15 for aux. My main is a 75 hp with that I can get 30 + knt...

I assume that you are talking about the two rigs just off the beach,one was a water outlet for the 'A' site cooling. Since the shut down of Sizewell "A" power station the outlet is no longer in use.

Southwold is much better and cheaper than Orford. I pay 42.50 per year to launch at Southwold as often as I want and it also includes parking. In my opinion is much easier to get in and out of Southwold than it is Orford. Slaughdon Quay is good as well but the gate is locked at weekends. Tight Lines...

Hi Guys, Went out all day yesterday in the 530 fished Dunwich Bank for 5 hours caught one bass 8.5 lbs on lug squid cocktail then went down off Sizewell total blank went back to the bank and manages one thorn back 7 lbs. Not the most productive day but very enjoyable. Tight lines. Quicksilver ;)
