Happy new year all. Not been out n about for ages. Went to the 10th green Saturday. HT was 03.40. Fished 3 up 2 down. Was steady fishing all way through tide. Weather was calm n mild. Fog rolled in after 3. Catch was 15 whiting, 4 Dover sole, 3 dabs, 1 plaice, 1 pout. All but 1 dab big enough to tak...

Hi all. Fished sandwich today. HT 4.30 am. fished 4 up 2 down...not a sausage...not even a bite. oh 1 crab, which for its efforts went straight back on the hook but in a different way than it came in. Spookily foggy made for a beautiful sunrise tho.

went 10th green on tuesday night. fished 1hr after LT till 2 after HT. sea was quite coloured till half way to HT then seemed crystal clear. HT at about 1 am. bait was lug, squid, macky, sand eel, cooked and frozen muscles. only had a few muscles but elastict several on a hook and theese were taken ...

just thought interesting. Herne Bay AA club record for smoothhounds broken 4 times in last few weeks. have to give it a go but waiting for the weed to drop after this weeks wind.

Hi have you tried lug stuffed squid? use large whole squid using pennel rig.remove guts and quill. first hook through top of squid into the centre and not through to other side. pull into middle of squid, second hook through same hole into middle of squid. slide squid up the line. hook two fat lugs ...

went for a couple of hrs to finish off yesterdays bait. Dont even think about it at the moment....first cast caught my my PB for the old weedfish lol Packed up n went home.

hi mate still blowing a gale dont know when it will settle but as you found out the weed there is a real bugger..needs a few days of no wind for it to settle... it would be nice if anyone else has any suggestions for marks where weed is not a problem straight after a blow? if you search my posts theres loads of info as I fidsh a lot there. went last week (sorry no report, sooo busy work) 1 2 3 yting every cast...not one keeper. all returned. all on lug nothing on crab, blueys or squid.

you can fish hampton pier 2-3 hrs before HT but when the tide has turned it rips out on the left hand side sometimes hard to keep a 7oz gripper down. not so bad off to the right.

Best place I've seen for float fishing is at reculver. climb down the rocks at the car park (very careful). seen people fishing there. climb down just before the jetty part and you can fish sort of round the corner of the rocks, keeps you out of line of sight
