Finally managed a week on the island last August, based in Bembridge. I was pleased to see some good sized mullet in the millponds and by the sluice gates, another angler had had one the day before of about 2 1/2lbs. Fished St.Helens beach twice for flatties/bass using carp rods which worked a treat w...

Over the years I have been coarse fishing the liquid flavours have certainly given all sorts of baits an edge over unflavoured ones, one of my first ones being spicy flavours on maggots. Also when I fish abroad a floating swimfeeder filled with mashed bread, tuna and squid it has left a nice trail in t...

Sad news indeed and a huge loss to the forums. Only met you the once Mick but your enthusiasm for the sport was plain to see. You were very welcoming when I joined the forum and full of good advice, going to miss your banter. You kept going right to the end,you were a true inspiration mate. RIP my fr...

Admittedly it was only only line roller bits but I fully expected to have to pay at least a fiver for three sets. Have also had good after sales from Daiwa Eccles, along with Mitche...

Easy to hook
Has anybody out there tried these hooks which came out not long ago? For those not familiar with them, they are attached to the snood length without using a knot, perhaps one advantage could be changing a blunt hook quickly without losing the original snood length? The review said they were strong and...
