I wonder if sites like this are struggling to compete with the amount of activity by sea anglers on Face book - there are number of general and regional groups where people are posting reports and sharing ideas, including the main sea angling magazines

back to work tomorrow after two weeks off and was getting a little frustrated that I hadn't been fishing at all over the holiday so went and dug some lug earlier this week and was determined to go Saturday night. arrived about 8.00 for an 11.30 high tide. Lovely crisp evening totally deserted beach....

I keep reading casting advice in magazines & can never get my brain around what they are on about - your simple comments in your post make perfect sense - will give it a try next time I go out

Hi,

I am spending the half term holiday in Polperro with my wife & children. I a hoping to bring my fishing gear with me but have never fished this area. Any advice on where to go & best baits would be very much appreciated

looks a great way to fish and good to see such a variety of species caught :)

Thorpe Bay - 12th April

Had promised myself a fishing trip before going back to work on Monday so spent a few hours digging bait at Thorpe Bay in the morning. Then returned later in the day with my youngest son to feed the local crab population!!!

not even a bit all afternoon - but a lovely afternoon on the beach :)

My boys love flounder too - think it's got more to do with they're the only keepers we catch round here than my cooking ability
