personally in my experience fishing the pier doesn't seem to fish that well unless theres a flood on.

I usually go 2 up and 2 down so to speak.

personally I would try and stay clear of blyth pier as once the mackerel's in its horrendous especially with the kids all fishing.

Not a lot of room, not sure about the other piers though but blyth is a nightmare sometimes with the number that use it.

nice..... i wish id gone up there midweek now.... didnt, for various reasons.. gonna fish south shields pier tonight though... hopefully there'll be plenty of the same graham cool never fished shields before have to let me know what its like as not far from you here in seaton delaval think it'll be...

just been out yesterday fishing blyth, went out for low tide and fished upto high tide. hiya guys

yeah there are nets and pots and all sorts off blyth,

the 2 trawlers came out picked nets up just to the right of the pier and dropped ones off

usually marked with a yellow buoy
