the best tape on the uk market is mightybright you just stick it on the part length of the rod tip,
can also be used on tripods and boxes etc.
much better then rod lights as the tape will reflect from a head light or torch.

I have a mustad sealite trace and on the back of the packet it states towards dusk as low light levels fall and silver ribbon with flourescent whipping.

what part of the river is it,
if near the bridge and island the fish could be bass or mullet and if it's pass the weir then it's not tidal as i don't know the name longmarsh.

The best ones out of the box are the green and red ones, the blue ones are not that great. these are a different make to the ones i got last year so i dont know what they will be like. I have 2 sandstorms bought them last year and i have never had them flex or being floppy like the one in the picture above,
i find they are ok a bit heavier then the salt surf which my wife has just been giving by or son on mothers day and she is yet to use it.

i wanted to get out to the estuary in the next few days but the wind and rain will no doubt put a stop to that.

I have the mti tripod and it is heavier then other tripods but i have used mine now about a dozen times and i always managed even on some longer walks,
the tripod is well built and very solid well worth it's money.
