Went there a few years back and meet 2 blokes fishing the arm at Bude one night they were catching some good bass on crab with a big strong tide they had 8 fish i think one night to 8lb.We had some smaller bass in the day on surface lures as the tide was pushing in .

I've just bought some rubber lures with weighted heads, what is the best way to fish with them. I fish with this kind of lure a lot they are great when you get the knack of using them.Fish them with just the right size head to touch bottom then twitch them back to you slowly there are many differen...

I fish a live prawn on i size 4,0 dont worry about the size of the hook at night if he wants it he WILL have it it's a differant story in bright sun light the fish has time to cheak the bait out but at night no problem.Find a place with good bass form on a good tide and you will be in with a very go...

You don't need to cast far when live baiting mate fish a pout or similar just as its getting dark or at night if you have sufficient light.I like to fish them under a float.
PS If you can get hold of live prawns or shrimps they are killers ;)

Just keep it simple a 2 hook rig with say size 4 or 2. take a few breakaway leads as the tide can push hard there.
