Hi Ian. Belhaven bay next to Dunbar is worth a crack, as is Coldingham bay. Both venues have a good head of flounder and even though April is not the most productive time of year for them, I reckon either venue should still throw up a few fish. Both areas are pretty much snag-free and a medium fixed...

Thanks Eskie. Funnily enough, after nearly 20 years fishing the various beaches around the Dunbar/N.Berwick area, we've only ever encountered bass on a handfull of occasions and even then, not in any great numbers. Mind you, the few we did come across were nice fish, typically around the 2-3lb range...

That's a real a sickener - imagine watching your fag packet drifting out to sea...lol Seriously though, it sounds like the fishing down here on the south side of the Forth is pretty poor at the moment and I can't remember the last time I had a really good session in these parts.
