If you guys are going at the weekend and I'm free I'd love to tag along if thats ok? If the weather is good I have found Sat quieter than Sunday, which can get mobbed with feather chuckers. I haven't had a really good fish there for a while, although the wrasse was a good size. My best fishing there...

Hi Gary

nice one on the dogfish.
On the blueys. Strange that when they first came out they seemed to be really good as a bait for me, but since then I've had nothing on them!

Squid and rag for me in the summer seems to work best, but thats only my experience.

Hi Samphire always has water. At low tide you will probably have to caste out a bit as the water gets shallow below the wall. It's hard to guess but low tide is about 2m down below the wall, you can see the bottom if the waters clear. It is snaggy, but seems a luck thing. I fished the west end last ...

Hi, I used to fish off the wall on the aggregate yard there, they used to be ok with it but, alas, not now. Won't let you near the place. I did fish Whitewall Creek a couple of times, the place you are talking about I think. 2 mullet glided by repeatedly on one occassion, I did tie a made up rig out...

Sounds about right for Gillingham Pier!
Trouble is there's no escaping people it's so small. Can't really ever remember a decent report from there, on here or locally.
The Medway is normally slow this time of year but nothing ventured nothing gained and all that!!!

Shame on the blank. Similar thing happened to me with lights. To be honest I was fishing somewhere after dark where I wasn't supposed to on the Medway and all of a sudden there was a massive bank of lights coming down the river. Totally threw me, had no idea what it was. Couple of weeks later I foun...

I'm with snagger on this. If TSF is seriously concerned about our sport then surely it can only endorse a catch and release policy for a competition. The last TSF I bought had articles in which were written and endorsed by people I wouldn't give the time of day to!!!!! I will be writing them a letter!

Sorry Steve, not sure if it was a blank, but MCE normally is poor this time of year, and pretty much til May in my experience. Least you got out, seems like Gary had the right idea, seems to plenty of dabs down the se coast. Hope when the work dies down a bit I can get down there before they disappe...

Hi Steve Not heard its that good and the pier is a fair walk. I've found in front of the Imperial Hotel in Hythe is great for dabs. Caught lots there last Jan, although the way fishing is at the mo who knows. I'll be giving it a bash in the next few weeks. I use size 4s. frozen blacks and only caste...
