greys g - series

hi. i was thinking of getting a greys g - series boat rod. does anyone know if these rods are worth getting? also, if so, should i get a 20-30 or 30-50 cuz i here these rods are pretty soft actioned. is this true?? (i mainly do tope and huss and lighter bottom fishing/drifting)

off to anglesea in a couple of days... know a few decent spots but can anyone recommend some reasonable for a few fish (dont mind what!) how should i fish these places?? also where are the macky showing at the moment??

wobbly levelwind!!

The levelwind on my abu C4 is quite wobbly and a bit unstable. I havn't got the manual so i wondered if anyone could help me in what to do!

I just leave them in a pot of sea water until i need them, and then just whack them straight into COLD water in a pan on the hob, and then slowly turn the heat up so any shrimps still alive basically 'fall to sleep' for want of better words and then boil them until pink. They are lovely kept simple ...

keep it simple for dabs

For fresh dabs, I just fry off some crushed garlic and dill in some olive oil in a frying pan. To prepare the dabs, just top the head and take out guts and chop off all fins. Put dabs whole into the pan, add some butter and cook on both sides until done! Meat just slides off the bone. Nice and simpl...

pennel rigs for smaller fish?

i know that many people use pennel rigs for larger fish or presenting bigger baits, but can they be used for smaller fish, perhaps by using smaller hooks, simply to aid bait presentation for long strips of macky or sandeel etc.

hi tony33 i go to a mark in benllech, by red wharf bay. it is accessable by the coastal path or the caravan site. the path can be met at the site, or if it is closed, by the beach. the footpath is quite a long way but leads to a rock mark, past the caravan site and a random camp site. at a low tide ...
