sorry for late reply only just got back to it. What can i say? I didnt realise common civility and respect for other pier users relied solely on the rules as set out by the pier management - you are all big chaps i thought you might work it out yourselves. I am not about to go naming names - i was m...

I couldn't agree more - i was on Walton pier a few weeks back and saw / heard a load of guys of the east forum (dont know them just recognised faces from photos / names). They were acting like teenagers shouting and swearing at the top of their voices so all visitors to the pier had to listen to the...

Walton Pier - or should i?

Was gonna head out to the pier on Sunday but havent been for a month when i (and everyone else) spent the entire day feeding crabs. Did manage a decent sole at the end of it though.

Anyway, juist wanted to know if it was worth my while at the moment, and if not any ideas for somewhere new?

cheers g

If you can get down to west mersea and footle round the harbour - all you need is rag worm and a hook! Cant promise anything of size but at this time of year you cant fail to catch a schoolie or eel No need to cast either - 20ft should do it! an nice and sheltered. Hope you succeed wherever you go g
