Hi Caspar,
I realise its a bit late but the news that I have heard is that the construction on the new ferry terminal has put the kibosh on the fishing just now. For anyone else thinking of heading up to ths area I would head to the marks at the Mull instead.

St Abbs blank
Headed down to St Abbs last night to have a go for some cod with Fishhunter and blanked in near perfect conditions. The wind was ENE and at times very strong with the sea well stirred up. The fish just didn't want to play apart from a rockling for fishunter. We fished the flood for about 4hrs with l...

Hi Steve, The mrs is treating me to a couple of night in an Oban hotel and a day out on etive. not certain of the dates yet but some time in January. There are apparently some big spurs getting caught recently. Of course with Etive being huge finding them can be a problem. I just hope I can catch so...

Cheers wizard I thought it would be ok but just never came across them before. I had a TSM 11CFS and together with my Conoflex Cod 5 they are the two items I really regret selling. Still got an old TLD 20 that seems to be on its last legs and has been for a while but it keeps going. Will check if th...

St Abbs
Fished for a couple of hours at St Abbs today (1pm-4pm) and blanked apart from a large edible crab. Not even a pin coley or rockling. The sea was still fairly clear and that was probably part of the reason for the lack of bites. However, the sea was picking up from the NE and there should be a good f...

Cheers Steve though I think that tight lines are going to be a rarity. Good luck with the match. The forecast is not gr8 wind wise and it looks as though its going to freeze. Those conditions make mark selection vital and you know most off the marks... If you win any chance of getting the two bags o...

Eyemouth
I realise it is a long shot but has anyone been out around the Eyemouth area recently. Going out on the boat on sunday and would like to know if it would be worthwhile targetting cod or concentrating on other species like pollack. The tides are not gr8 for digging and will have to target either lug ...
