BEESANDS REPORT 22/08/11

Good morning, Havnt posted for a long time but though I'd put this one on. I fished Beesands with my you lad last night and he caught two Smoothounds! Only babies not more than a pound and a half but Smoothounds nonetheless. Both caught on a 1/0 paternoster taking mackerall strip - hell of a bang! H...

Hi Mark You'll be basically on the River Tamar which is fishing as good as anywhere at the moment. If you come over to the Plymouth side, just to the right of the Torpoing Ferry is a spot called Pottery Quay, its a piece of wasteland that you can just walk on to - you wont go far wrong there. You ca...

Fishing Friday 18th March

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at fishing from high to low Friday night, does anyone know any marks that fish well on an outgoing tide? I live in Plymouth but will travel for a decent nights fishing :)

Look forward to your replies!

Cheers

Lo Mark, I was reading the local paper down here in Plymouth today and there was a photo of two local anglers who fished Chesil last week. One holding a 11lb cod and the other a 13lb'er! I also heard that 7 anglers were very lucky to only lose their gear last week when a shingle back gave way on the...

LOW WATER MARKS

Hi all

Does anyone have any good low water marks in the Plymouth area. I'm a shift worker and cant always fish a rising tide so need a few alternative marks!

Cheers

Hello Nick Nack I generally fish from the shore, with my preference being beach fishing. BUT, i'll go where the fish are!!! I live in Plymouth so normally fish locally but I do like Beesands - but it has died a death recently (Trawlers apparently) I've recently joined Plymouth Sea Anglers so hopeful...

Nick Nack

Just between you and me it was North Corner, off the pontoon, fishing from the far left hand corner.

Good luck getting a space now!

TAMAR REPORT 17/01/10

Good morning I fished the incoming tide from a mark on The Tamar last night (Plymouth side) from about 3.30 pm. Using a two hook flapper with mackerall strip and a 3/0 pulley pennel with lug tipped with squid. Had a few small whiting but then had a good knock on the the pulley rig and landed a whiti...

Well I fished Abbotsbury yesterday with a mate. Load of anglers on the beach. Fished from about 1pm thru till 6pm. Big surf made it very difficult and made retrieving your rigs nigh on impossible. Lost lots of tackle and was virtually impossible to see a bite. Suffice to say not one fish!!! I only s...

Help with Chesil

Hi all

I have never fished Chesil before but am planning on a trip there this Wednesday.

Where would be the best part to fish, park etc. Also what bait is catching here at the mo?

I know this is a well worn subject but any help would be most appreciated.

Cheers and a Merry Christmas

Taff

Sunday 15th - Beesands

Well I finally managed to get out Sunday afternoon and paid a visit to Beesands, weather was good with a bit of swell and the winds were fine. Fished from 1pm up to HT and then an hour or so afterwards. Cracking session with plenty of Whiting, Pollack, Doggies and even a schoolie bass. Really enjoya...

Weather this weekend

Good afternoon Just after a bit of advice for this weekend. Given the forecast do you think it would be worth a trip to a beach - Beesands/Slapton/Seaton perhaps, or will it be too rough to fish? I've looked at www.fishingwx.com and it shows it as being very rough with wind up to 30 mph SWesterly? D...
