3.5lb striped bonito caught off Hearne Bay

According to the Kent Coastal Fishing web site a 3.5lb striped bonito was caught in a net over the weekend. Amazing but true.

Set off from Barton's Point slip just after 8 am and headed out to fish The Middle Sand. Slow journey out in Force 4-5 and didn't have any bites after 2 hours so came in to Paddy's Point. Launched the boat from Bartons at 10.45 and headed for the approach channel but after an hour and a half without a bite we moved to the second stick. This arrived by courier. It's a Yamaha F40 FETL and came complete with remotes, electronic security system, tachometer and fuel tank etc. I'm going to be busy over the weekend taking off the old Mercury and installing this new 'bit of kit'.
