I agree they could and should offer maintenance advice, but this is down to the manufacturer and their customer (Who will be the importer). The problem is that 99.9% of Chinese imports are sold as seen as far as the Chinese are concerned. This not just limited to fishing gear but also heavy industry...

I make mine with a Gemini wire boom going out from the rig body then slide a 20mm length of silicon tube on to the boom, open the eye of the boom attach a swivel, close the eye and pull the silicon up to the swivel to keep it straight. Use 20lb Amnesia keep the length at 6 inches each side to the ho...

Hello Geoff The rod just wants a wipe down with a damp cloth after use and keep it in a rod bag to avoid scratches unless like me you don't mind the odd scratched rod. The reel just wants a rinse under a tap with warm water to remove any salt build up, oiling depends on how often you use it. Do not ...

Yes it is accessable at laports. When you reach the wall you can go left or right, turn left on smaller tides and right on the bigger ones. Some people switch places during the tide run so that would be left at slack water and right when it is racing.

On big tides of 7.0m or more try fishing the shallows the tide rip is not as fierce there. This set of tides for the weekend just gone were the 3rd biggest of the year. Bay 26 is a very good bay on 6.2m tides or less. Good luck with the cod fishing this winter. Another tip is to try the new breakawa...

Ian, (Rock hoper) brought one of these rods.
Cracking good, they are suitable for overhead, and with their fast tip recovery are also good for pendulum. They are capable of very good distances and, I would say probably the best rods in their price bracket.

Dave Docwra sports were finished off by the inland revenue about 9 years ago, cant be exact with the date though. It was a sad day for the sport when the company was wound up as Dave always gave great advice and was always ready to help anyone.

Cant fault the 7HT Mags, had 3 for two years and no problems. :D As for rods, find a rod that suits you Jim, we're all built differently with different casting styles and different fishing techniques. Just find one you can bend when you cast with good bite registration, you might be surprised at wha...
