get yourself a landing net and wade along any sandy beaches near you where you regularily see sandeel. ive no technique for this except to wait for them to swim near you and swipe. you can look on youtube for videos of using large drag nets with two ppl, but this might be a bit extreme for personal ...

Pollock

You cna get small pollock at near every plymouth mark if you bait with mackeral and rag cocktails, id float them deep anywhere on the tamar, but you'll rarely get anything over 2lb, mount batton pier is great for both pollock and wrasse in the summer months once again id float with your bait really ...

Great spot to fish mate and a real mixed bag can be caught, all along the wall you can catch mullet ( if you've the patience) just take a few loafs of bread to attract them in and then its up to you, they will take small worm on small hooks but most ppl tend to use small hooks with bread, u can spin...

water temps

the water temps are still well below what they usually are for this time of year so unless we suddenly get a stream of warmer water come towards us in the southwest we wont get many mackerel for ages and will see fewer bass then the last few seasons.

Why is the fishing so weak at the moment!

New to fishing last year, i found it really easy to catch in the summer months from the shore bagging many mackerel, pollock wrasse, pout, and a few nice sized bass. This year from the shore so far i have had one nice bass and a tiddler pollock! I havent even seen a mackerel cought from the shore in...

Devils Point Report

Fished from 1 till 6pm from the rocks to the left of the platforms at devils point today and caught nothing from bottom of flaot baiting with mackerel, and one pollock on feathers very small!

Other people in the area caught small pollock herring and a makcerel,

Whatever happend to summer fishing!

Just heave the fish up

I fish off the side of an aircraft carrier and dont have a drop net, if i have anything that my rod and reel arent strong enough to pull in comfortably then i put the rod down and just heave in hand over hand nice and steadily, unfortunatly i have lost a few fish this way.
