caught 11 macky from southsea this morning. noticed other people were catching a few as well.

caught 4 macky this morning from south parade pier over a period of 3 hrs.

fished the pier this morning. pulled out a few mackerel.
If ur gonna fish from the pier, wear something warm. That north easterly wind bites into ya.

hi josh. the mackerel are about but very few are being caught on the pier at the moment. i spent 5 hrs there today and caught nothing.
last week i landed 2 good sized bass using feathers from the pier. these were home made ones and i used a stronger line than shop bought ones.

Very slow day on the pier yesterday. Only managed to land 8 mackerel, 3 small bass and the obligatory weaver fish
Someone suggested it was due to it being a full moon. I thought it was only werewolves that were affected by the moon.

Spent 3 hours on south parade pier 2day.
caught............
35 mackerel.
5 bass.
1 garfish
1 weaver fish.
using feathers.
Kept what i wanted, gave some away and returned the remainder back to the sea.
Also yesterday I landed an 18inch mackerel weighing 2 pound

Hi Hannah.

There's plenty of evidence of cuttlefish activity along Southsea beach at the moment with lots of their white bones washed up on the shoreline. also saw a couple of fully formed dead ones floating in the sea on Tuesday.

forgot to mention that i returned 10 of the mackerel and the 2 sand eels back to the sea.
decided that this year i would only take home what fish i need and not fill up the freezer and waste em.
