just checked map, your right it was durlston lol yeh its best bass ive caught from shore in long time, im still debating going back down and trying my luck haha. ah, i understand the swanage pier closing now, great shame tho it was a great marks at times.

Swanage Report 13/08

Been down in Dorset for the week, explored most the beaches from Milford, right along to Weymouth, but to not much joy, couple of flatties and plenty of pout, school bass and odd doggie. The weathers been miserable however, and i have to leave on friday back up to London til sept which is a fair ups...

Bournemouth Area

Hi, In sept im moving to Boscombe and was wondering how the beachs and pier fishes? what to expect and whether theres any sport with cod over the colder seasons? I use to fish mudeford quay during holidays to bournemouth few years ago now, was wonder how it fishes now?

i recently bought both the 390 bass rods from firefly, theyre great for the their price however, the butt of the rod is very close to the reel and bite indiction isn't surperb. none the less, good quality rod.

the beachs towards hove are great for bass in slightly rough weather, there full of gullies best bait is a peeler crab, which you just collect every low tide

theres been some great smooths off of brighton marinas east arm between pegs 13-20 off the sand. just with crab, there were to large smooths caught last week, with the coloured water.

I've always fishing south e. coast, its great to hear where people enjoy to fish. but for some reason, no matter where i enjoy brighton marina, if one species isnt biting, change tactics and find out which one is! haha
