cod have been showing in numbers since the start of oct,i know of 3 double from the portland end biggest being 16lb,13 4,10 2,plenty around the 5-9lb mark,conditions at the moment are shite,wait for the next s/w blow and fish a day or so after. biggest cod from abbots so far that i know of was 13lb ...

looks a super rig, ive never seen a rig with detachable hook lengths before. good idea nowt new,been using adjustable main trace/detachable snoods for some years first by using power gum slip knots above and below the swivels,can use silicone tubeing or telephone wire,i tend to use these rigs more ...

stokes bay/browndown best fished during or after a good blow when the water is coloured,on the western solent there is hurst castle/milford shingle calshot and lepe,hurst shingle sometimes fishes better on the ebb or smaller tides ;)
