me and the missus will try any type of fish so far tilapia basa red tailed catfish swordfish shark carp pike eel monk fish sole /lemon trout /salmon grayling gudgeon whitebait sprats plus all the usual fish and there's a lot more that i cant remember i love fishing i love fish i love eating fish uuu...

i have loads of hooks in fingers ears eyebrows {thought about leaving that one in LOL} what i normally do is pass the hook back through the skin and snip of the barb or flatten it with pliers then pull back through i know it sounds painful but its the best way i know and it can be done on your own :((

Home made fishing tackle ?

i was just wondering how many people out there fish with home made tackle of sorts when i used to pike fish i used to make pike floats out of trendy pop bottles . i am thinking of doing the same now to make sea floats as any one else got any good home made tackle tips and photos :-/ cheers the big "A"

i think i am going to try saltburn again . i have been out to day and got my bait rag macky and sand eels i might go and buy squid and try that as well i also got some mackerel feathers to have a go with i will report how i get on when i get in it might be late tight lines the big "A"

that hurts i know i have done i quite a lot over the years if the hook is a fresh sharp one no probs just flip it back through the skin and snip the eye for or the point then you can extract it or if not sure go to the nearest A and E i have had to do running repairs in the past once hooked my self ...
