Head over to Aberdeen way more over the winter periods (october onwards). Will defo give you a shout though. Spend most of my time at Peterhead BW, Portlethen or Inverbervie, but do visit others. Always willing to try more places out though

I have used Bluey this last weekend. I was fishing with mackerel, bluey and squid. I never caught anything on the mackerel/squid combos but caught everything else on the Bluey/squid combo's. Still think it needs more testing but it defo produces more oil than mackerel. Just make sure you wrap it up ...

You can keep lugworm for longer if you want. I know normally lugworn doesn't freeze down because they burst open when frozen. But if you have a look at this website you can do it by salting them down. It does actually work and i had a nice supply of lugworm laast winter becasue of this technique. ht...

Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland West Coast - Sea Fishing Report

Finally made it up there today minus my fishing partner. Weather was overcast with occasional sunshine and no rain. Wind was almost constant but not too bad. Started fishing about 09:30 with the tide going out. Nothing to report up until the low tide time (14:10). Then i caught two Thornback rays wi...

Fave i have is a 525 mag which deals with any situation i put it into. Especially good for rough ground.
For clean beaches i use a Abu 6500 C3.
Prefer the 525 mag though.
My 535 GS is also good but i use it only for light boat work and heavy rock fishing.
