hi.. i live not far from here.. i fish 40lb line on a sl20. good strong rod.. the rig i use is 200lb line size 8/0 meat hook. and use 3-4 squid on the hook.. and fish half way up the pier on the right about 20 metres out. you will stand a good chance of catching this way.. good luck

you can blame me for the log mark..i was at chesil last night at abbots... three of us. from 5;30--11pm.. we had dogs--ray--garr--whiting--gurnard. all small stuf...walking on that shingle...thats fun...not

hi. fished beesands last week. nothing doin. bloke next to us. had a three four plaice first cast then nothing. try kingsbridge open on sunday. its been really good last few years.

is it me?

is it me or has shore fishing gone a bit dead..no a lot dead. not much gettin landed down this end. just odd bits. also joined the new and better angling trust. seems like it was just me then. as thay never got any were near nsfa numbers. wots goin on.. i think next year i'll be not putting my money...

hi not been west bex for a while..but when i did fish it a lot i found the log as i call it to be one of the best spots for bottom fishing..when your in the car park looking out to sea its on the right about quarter of a mile away(feels like 50) cant miss it take the footpath at the back of the beec...

anywere round that area will be fine somwere on the rocks if poss. as for the sand eel put the hook threw its mouth and out of the gill then just nick the hook threw the belly..or if your free lining the eel hook it about 10mm from the tail...simmples.

hi. try 6oz to 10 oz leads. a boom. 12 foot trace. on the drift. with sand eel. or black and red jellies. size 5/0 hooks. this will find the fish i think. good luck hope the weather stays fine

nice fish theres not been alot of big fish around lately so you did well. i used to fish there a lot years back. not been there for a long time but have seen some nice fish down there way back.. long walk though.
