Stretch your probably right too cold. I fished Loughor today a lot of floating ice, didn't have a bit. About 10 others fishing didn't see anything caught. Will try again tomorrow a lot of bait to use up.

I was using a beachcaster and multiplier with shockleader etc. I bought a cheap 10ft spinning rod and an old fix pool reel. Found it better easier to see bites, with 2 oz grip lead doing ok but must be said fishing the smaller tides not sure if too light on faster tides.

Squeaky Those type of people make my blood boil. There is a NFSA fish size, purhaps make a list of fish common to the area and putting on lamp posts gives no excuse for taking undersize fish. Ought to be bye law they have one for most things these days. Regarding the litter these types when not fish...

Loughor

Fished Loughor last Wednesday, had three Flounders. Fives people fishing all caught more than me. Today didn't get a bite, eight rods around me only saw two flounders and they were small, what a difference in a couple a days. Crabs still a problem.

Regarding flatties, I caught one 8 ozs on Swansea bay 2 weeks ago and one at Loughor last week about 12 ozs. Tried Swansea bay yesterday and today nothing but very small schoolies.

At Knab Rock this afternoon, that trawler still working up and down amonst the moorings. Not sure what fishing for, dragging the bottom with two chain type nets. Whatever they are fishing for should not be allowed that close to shore. Lets hope petition works.

Bob, I lived in Newport 7 years ago and fished St brides many times from Stench pipe to Old lighthouse. The summer months I found to be waste of time because too many eels, you might catch some small bass if eels dont get you first. The winter is best from October when cod start running, the stench ...
