Nice fish - must give TQ a go soon as I haven't been out since I fished Bognor a couple of months back.

I've fished just down the coast at Winspit so it's going to be fairly similar at Dancing Ledge. Take some float gear with you - should get some Wrasse using worm as bait(apparently crab is good too, never tried it though). try to travel fairly light as the walk back will be a bit of a killer. There'...

A little update on the trap. Used it last night at 2 pier marks and it saved a blank! Bites in daylight but couldn't hook anything with rod and line. 4 velvet swimming crabs at the first mark along with a Pout. Second mark resulted in a few Whelks and a tiny Poor Cod. The centre rings are starting t...

Thanks for that Torsk, I'll be buying one of those. If the fishing is dire then a trap is certainly another string to add to the bow. One idea I may try at a later time at a fishing mark, is to put a trap at somewhere between the low and high water marks and retrieve it later in the session. Mark

I put 2 3oz weights inside mine as I forgot the 8oz which I got especially for the trap, though I suppose using a couple of decent sized pebbles would be as good(and cheaper!). Next time I get a keeper fish, I'll chuck the head and guts in the trap - it should attract some attention. As for the rope...

Used my trap for the first time a couple of nights ago, used macky and squid in the pouch and had 8 whelks as a result which were all returned bar 1 which was used as bait. Going to try a few different baits to see what the results are like. How are you lot attaching rope to the trap? Mines got a co...

Well my fishing has been rather slow recently - I went to Millennium Pier last Saturday and had only 2 Gobies. Even the crabs are avoiding me! Going to have a go at Chav Parade Pier at some point, with all the mini bass and Macky being caught there, I may actually have a chance of catching of more t...

I had a choice, pub or Town Quay - I wish I chose the pub! Just one fish- a Poor Cod. A few of the baits came back munched but most of the time they were untouched. I tried various combos of rag/squid and macky but with no joy. I had more luck with the trap I brought with me resulting in 8 whelks, s...

Nice hound, I was thinking about taking some crab with me. Talking about crabs, many spiders down there yet Lee? I haven't caught a Doggie at TQ yet and as you know yourself, the dogs love me on boat trips! What rigs were you using for the hounds? What time you getting down there Danny? I'll be down...
