Yes, we heard him on the radio Saturday afternoon, he didn't sink immediately, but was taking on water fast. They launched the life boat and I guess he was trying to get to Langstone, but without success. Don't know how he managed to hit the blocks in the first place, pehaps he wasn't local. Expensi...

Well four of us fished 1.00pm to 1.00am. (High tide in daylight and low tide in darkness). Ragworm worm, squid, and mackerel, at various distances. One Pout, one Pollack, one Bass, one Flounder all undersize and one good size Dogfish. So not brilliant for eight rods over 12 hours. But the weather wa...

I can recommend Southsea Sea Angling Club. I started boat fishing this year and managed to get a place in the compound. They have a website with basic info at... http://www.southsea-sea-angling-club.org.uk 2 or 3 raiders already in the yard, so you can swap stories and tips etc :) Good bunch of guys...

I'm in Farnborough, "Tackle Up" in Fleet will order Ragworm for me, but they only come in on a Thursday, they're good quality, but by the time I want to use them (usually on a Sunday night) they're not very good.

Buying Ragworm in North Hants

Hi, hoping someone can help me. I'm looking for a tackle shop that stocks ragworm as close to North Hants as possible. (I can't always get down to the south coast before the tackle shops close for the day).

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm pretty new to sea fishing, and I used this site...

...to get a feel of all the marks that everybody talks about on here. Reading all the posts makes a whole lot more sense now. It will also help you put names to places as well.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but also wondered if a moonlit night was any better or worse than a much darker night, like thick cloud cover, or no moon at all.

and the winner is........

....Calshot. For the most discarded fishing line left on a beach! Being new to sea fishing I decided to spend the entire day driving about the south coast and walking stretches of beach today, to pick up a bit of "local knowledge" . Spoke to people at most of the marks at South Sea, then went to Lee...
