Hi king_nothing, depends on area really, my favourite bass baits are peeler crab, whole squid, live mackeral and sandeels. The rig i use for the dead baits is a pennel running ledger and the live bait either under a float or free lined, i hope this helps. if you do use live mackeral do u mean that ...

Hi AFC, hard back crabs are a good bait for wrasse, crabs about the size of a fifty pence piece are ideal, just pull a back leg off and thread the hook through the socket, dangled under a float is a killer hope this helps.
