Howdy all.

Hi guys.

Jeez its been years since I have been fishng. Been busy making babies and all that. (7 now)
Unfortunatly the wife and I have amicably split up. So I find myself fishing again. Will be dusting off the old gear this Friday , somewhere along sea front.

Glad to be back. Speak soon. Steve.

Southend Pier report 02/05/11

Well I bit the bullet and forked out to fish our magnificent Pier! I took along my mate Scott again, to show him a few things..... We arrived at the Pier doors at 8am for the 8.30 train expecting a massive queue of anglers....Well there was three people on the first train which I thought was unusual...

Hi DCM, I absolutely detest Ebay. I have and always will use my local tackle shops. But I know where your coming from. The problem I am having is: If he buys cheap, and likes it, its only going to last a season at best. (ie, my first multiplier was a fladen level wind. Would not even give it to my s...

Help me (help a newbie)

With the help of hindsight, if I could go back to when I first started out Sea fishing. I often wonder if I should have bought expensive gear vs cheap gear. The reason for my rather vague beginning is this. I have a friend who is just starting out (literally his 2nd trip next week) He is asking me w...

Southend Pier report 20/04/11

Went with my friend today on the pier. We arrived at 10am we decided to fish the east point as it was the only space left. Set up with my new uptide rod. Fish from the off, didnt stop all day. Blazing sunshine, burnt to a crisp but well worth it. Brilliant day all round. Bait used was Rag, Lug, Squi...

Got that Fishing itch...

I really really need to go fishing.....I am going to go on Sunday, down to Thorpe bay. I know there is an open match on this day also...Im not going to pay a tenner just to fish my favourite spot......Is that me being funny, or can I assume that I still have a right to fish there even when a match i...

I agree with Eccles. I used these over clean ground just to see how they would react. They ended up planing sideways! Right back to the bottom again. Not a good design. I now use the flat back impact lead. I think its by breakaway.....
