I've just got back from cornwall and fished boscastle a couple of times with no success. we used 3 hook clipped down rigs and pulley rigs with sandeels and peeler crabs as bait. The sea conditions were rough when we fished. We did catch a couple of small bass from widemouth bay using fresh rag which...

Fishing in Cornwall

Not been sea fishing for quite some time but hoping to get some sessions in when i go to cornwall on holiday later this month. Is there any decent areas near Bude also what are the best baits to use. Also is there any tackle shops around bude what sell fresh bait.

Any info would be appreciated.

The smaller ones tend to stay in the Humber all year round while the larger ones tend to come from September onwards.

Don't waste money on lug for flounder in the Humber. I always use garden worms and cooked prawns for flounder bashing in the Humber and always catch with them. I went to Barton couple of weeks ago and had 6 flatties out on cooked prawns in a 3 hour session.

I also use lob worms by threading between 2 and 4 worms up the hook and leave plenty of worm dangling so they moved around by the tide to make t...

There's no need to chuck out too far on the Humber, very often a cast of no more than 50 yards will get you into the fish

There isn't any lighting on the wall so you have to take your own.
